You may also need to submit documentation to support the information you provide on the form.
  • If you agree with the alternative payment amount that the IRS has offered, you can accept the offer by signing and returning the enclosed Form 433-D, Installment Agreement. If you do not agree with the alternative payment amount, you can contact the IRS to discuss your options.
Additional tips:
  • Be prompt. You have 30 days to respond to the letter before the IRS takes further action.
  • Be honest and accurate. When completing Form 433F/433A, be sure to provide the IRS with complete and accurate information about your financial situation.
  • Be cooperative. The IRS is more likely to work with you if you are cooperative and willing to provide the information they need.
